Life and a Japanese Dress

Well, being a wife, a momma, a teacher, a friend, and a housekeeper sure have kept me busy for awhile.  But I finally have a few seconds (only seconds because they Ladybug is waking up I think...) to update on life in what I have decided to call our little cottage!

Over the last few weeks I have been super busy getting things ready for the end of the year for my preschoolers.  I have been a report card filling out, dvd making, end of the year project figuring out fool!  On top of that I was also very busy getting a shower gift ready for a great friend of mine from college.
I wound up making her a nursing cover using this tutorial from Sew Much Ado
It turned out fabulous... but I forgot to take a picture.
I also made a few burp cloths and a changing pad like the ones that I sell in my shop.
The last thing I made her was an owl onesie... this one I did get a picture of!

I love how this sweet little owl turns out every time I make it!

Aside from shower gifts I have been working on a few clothing items for my Little Ladybug.  Over the last few weeks she has gotten a new pillowcase dress, a new triangle top dress (made from a Japanese pattern/tutorial no less!  Story to come on that one...) and a few new headbands.  I have lots more planned for her for summer outfits... not that she really NEEDS anything more for summer. ;-)

Here are pics of the Japanese dress... it was VERY frustrating... but in the end well worth it :-)
Here is a link to the pattern if you are interested... Japanese Dress.  I might do a tutorial to go with it to show how I made the dress if anyone is interested.

Well, the Little Ladybug is awake now... so off I go!   Soon I hope to post some of my inspiration for our basement makeover annnnd a list of summer to-dos that I want ya'll to keep me accountable for.  But until then... have a wonderful day!
